A deepfake of Nicușor Dan dancing chaotically in a club went viral on the first day of the campaign following Sunday’s presidential first round, in which George Simion, the leader of the extremist party AUR, advanced to the second round in first place (40.97%), along with Dan (21%).
The fake clip is accompanied by a soundtrack that „attests” to the character’s problems: „Hey, boy, what happened to you? Look, the cars are running you over. You alright, boy? Listen to me, what did you take, șpeis? (drugs, ed. note) Huh?”.
